Steadwell
Hello, and thank you
So I decided to make an app…
Thanks for being willing to fill this out. I'm making a couple's financial app with a goal to create better money conversations, not money arguments — something that brings you together on finances rather than pushing you apart.
I want to make sure it considers other couples, their preferences, processes and pain points. Answer what you'd like, type anything or nothing at all, and leave it completely anonymous. Your responses stay private and aren't shared.
Once a beta is available with Apple, I'd love for you to give it a test drive. Let me know at the end so I can add you to my list.
Thank you SO much for taking this journey with me!
No exact numbers needed
Every question skippable
Goes to Nick, nowhere else
iPhone and iPad only
How you handle it today
No wrong answers here — "nothing, really" is a real answer and a useful one.
01
Your accounts are…
02
Who actually keeps track?
03
What are you using now? Tick all that apply.
04
How often do the two of you talk about money on purpose?
05
What usually starts that conversation?
Where it gets fiddly
The practical side — what actually gets in the way. Skip anything you would rather not answer.
06
When money comes up, what makes it harder than it needs to be?
07
Would you two actually sit down together for ten minutes a week?
08
What would make you skip it in a given week?
09
Steadwell asks you to type transactions in yourself — no bank login. Thoughts?
No bank connection and no automatic import — every transaction is typed in. I would rather know now if that is an app you wouldn't want to use.
10
If entering a transaction by hand takes ten seconds, what would keep it from feeling like a chore?
11
Pick the three that would matter most to you two.
12
How much of each other's spending would you actually want to see?
Steadwell can show both of you every purchase as it happens. I'd like to know whether that's welcome or a bit much.
13
What would this app have to do to make it worth using?
The most useful question on here, if you only answer one.
Trust, price, and staying in touch
14
What would stop you installing a money app at all?
15
If it worked well, what would feel fair to pay?
Whatever happens here, your own data stays free forever — all of it, including export. I'd only ever charge for the two-person side.
16
Want to leave your name? Entirely optional.
The beta is through Apple, so it's iPhone and iPad. Which do you use?
17
Anything else? Including "this is a bad idea because…"
Steadwell · a work in progress
Thank you, genuinely.
